The primary objective of this site is to inform and help people regarding an alternative to buying expensive prescription drugs here in the USA.  As you may already be aware, you can save LOTS of money on prescription drugs by obtaining them from other countries.  This site deals primarily with Canada, our good neighbor to the North.

My Situation

I have a seizure disorder which came on a few years ago. I had a “funny feeling” one day at work. I was walking at the time, blacked out and, fell. I hit my face on the floor which caused some abrasions but no serious injury. I had a full workup and was found to have a seizure disorder. I was prescribed Lamictal.

I’ve had three other seizures since but all were because I was not taking my medication as prescribed. One was while I was driving; I felt it coming on (the aura) and was able to get off the road just in time before losing consciousness. I learned my lesson from this incident and ever since have taken my medication as prescribed.

Lamictal was effective in controlling my seizures but was prohibitively expensive. When I had health insurance, I didn’t think much about the expense because I did not have to pay for it. However, I subsequently became unemployed and then had to pay for it myself. This was very painful for me economically.

The situation frustrated me so I went on a quest to find a better deal. I discovered Lamictal was dramatically cheaper in Canada. I decided to purchase my medication from an online, Canadian pharmacy. To my delight, I had no problems whatsoever. The customer service and quality was excellent and the savings dramatic.

The generic version, Lamotrigine, was finally released here in the U.S.A. and is much less expensive than the brand name, Lamictal. Since the generic is more affordable, I no longer have to purchase my medication from Canada. Once a generic is released it does tend to be much more affordable here in the U.S.A.

Prior to a generic being released, the cost of many medications in America can be extremely high. Some medications are quite expensive even when the generic does become available. At any rate, there are a number of scenarios where an online, Canadian pharmacy can save you hundreds if not thousands of dollars.
